MY FIRST WALK EXPERIENCE

Was invited by the administer of Good Samaritan Home(GSH), Mrs Ong, to join the children at a charity walk.called Hunger Relief 2009. The event was co sponsored by KFC and Piza Hut. I arrived at the GSH at around 5.30 am and waited till 6.00am before Kong Hui,another friend of the home arrived.Around 6.30am the mayflower coach came to pick us up. There were 17 of us including the adults. We reached the meeting place in a field near Jalan Paliament. Around 8.30am flag off and we started walking .It was a 3.5km walk. It was great to be able to walk in the otherwise busy street. The traffic was stopped for us.! For a while we felt so important. It was a fun walk. The event ended around 11.30am when we had our lunch and arranged for the same bus to ferry us back to the GSH. It was fun, everyone agreed it was a rather short distant.
