A SIGN OF INSECURITY?

Just a few days before our hiker’s gathering, I received a message
from  my friend who had earlier confirm her attendance. She said she is giving the function as miss as she felt someone in our circles of friends do not want her around. Her reasoning was  she had shared too many personal things to our mutual friends and now might want to avoid her.She specifically named one person who might not welcome her presence.
And she further said she saw   this  posted on her(the other friend)wall." We’re not together, but no one else is allowed to date you okay? I don’t think that that message was directed to her at all. I mean people post and shared such  quotes all the time.
I wanted to ask that friend if that message was directed at her or not, but later decided against it.
I think she is just being paranold, maybe suffering from withdrawal syndrome even.
What do you think. Was she over reacting?

ARE YOU ALWAYS IN A HURRY?

Yesterday during our cell meeting we had a video screening and one of the lesson we learnt was that when we are always in a hurry, we missed out some precious moment with our children, loved ones or even friends. As Christians, we might even missed out what God wants to tell us. No wonder the psalmist wrote, "be still, and know I am God"  My friend ,David related  this interesting story.
One day he saw what he thought was some worms on the leaves of his manggo trees. He was about to get rid of them , when on closer look, reliased they were actually caterpillars , and so he left them alone. A few days latter, he was able to watch how the ugly caterpillars transformed to beautiful butterflies. He called both his daugthers to watch  the remarkable creation of God.  I am sure that sight was so special as most city folks will never get to see. While he relate that story, I was able to recall my precious moments too. Years ago I discovered a bird nest in front of my house where we hung out laudry to dry. I could see some eggs inside. I was careful not to  make any physical contact with the nest as I remember reading somewhere if we do, they will abandon their eggs. Over the next few weeks I just watched from my window until the eggs were hatch. Meanwhile I had christened the mother bird Jamie and my oldest son who was about 4 or 5 at that time was with me. Day by day we were able to watch Jamie faitfully bringing food for her babies. One fine day, when we got back home we discovered the nest were empty. Apparently the birds had strong wings and were able to fly. I told my son, Jamie had taken her family to another place where they belong.  We had come to term with Jamie and her babies'departure. Then one day my son called to me rather exhilaratingly.  "Daddy ,Jamie's back. I went out to have a look, sure enough Jamie came back with her family.  For the next couple of days she and her family droped by to say hello and then they were gone for good.   I think she was just saying thank you for the hospitality.
Do you have moments like this?
