UNLUCKY ME

Sifu just got back from her diving trip, i was suppose to meet up with her for our weekly climb at putra jaya challenge park. I made my way there after work and pasted the first toll when i heard some funny sound. At first i thought it was a car that pass by but the noise got louder and it dawn to me it was from my car. Quickly I pulled over st the side my first thought was a flat tyre. I check them one by one. Thank God all appear ok. Then i look underneath the car in case something stuck below and causing all the noise. Then i notice water leaking below. I open the bonnet to check. Horror of horrors there was a belt which was loosen. I made a call to Aam but could not reach them. After so many attempts finally got them and gave them my location. In the meantime they suggested  i call the highway people for assistance. So i did after a while they came , did some checking and informed me it could be the power steering belt and it was safe to continue driving. Not convinced I prefer to wait for the Aam assist to come .After nearly an hour one of their contractor came and inspect my car he told me the water pump was damage and so was the alternator motor and need to tow my car to his workshop. I asked him how he  intend to do that as he did not come with a tow truck. I was shock when we told me he will use his car to tow it. I told him not to bother. and I call my regular mechanics who arranged a tow truck right away At least the workshop is nearby my office and I will have no problem collecting my car. So that was my misadventures. I missed my climb tonight and have to dig deep into my purse again  yes again as I just spent a big amount repairing  just days ago. Oh what rotten luck this month.

So nice of the highway patrol to put up these cones for me.

SUPERGIRL: MY FAVOURITE LASS FROM KRYTON

As if anticipating backlash against the aggressively grim Batman v Superman, CBS'sSupergirl invited the Flash over from The CW for a madcap superhero team-up caper.
With Supergirl's Melissa Benoist (Kara/Supergirl) and The Flash's Grant Gustin (Barry/the Flash) heading up the crossover event, "World's Finest" came complete with flirty banter, heart-to-hearts about what it means to be a hero, and sneering villainesses in askew Hot Topic wigs. The Flash might have been concerned about running so fast that he accidentally ripped through a dimension or three and left his own Earth — a thing he can do, because superhero — but at least Kara's Earth had plenty of action to entertain him while he was briefly stuck there.
The crossover was possible thanks to a couple different factors. Though Supergirl andThe Flash air on CBS and The CW, respectively, their DC Comics connection means they're actually sister productions, underneath the umbrella of Warner Brothers. (Similarly, The CW is a corporate cousin of CBS, which makes a crossover betweenSupergirl and The Flash easier than one between, say, Supergirl and a show on NBC.) Also, both programs were created by Greg Berlanti, who came up with the story for "World's Finest."

Was "World's Finest" a success?

Supergirl. (CBS)
Alex: Yes. It's difficult to go wrong pairing human golden retriever Gustin with the impossibly likable Benoist. You'd have to actually work to put those two in a scene together and have it be bad.
One of the things I like best about the episode is the idea of taking something super-complicated like the DC multiverse — the theory that there are multiple worlds that are all vibrating at different frequencies, which keeps them separate from one another — and really leaning into how weird and preposterous it sounds. Because that idea totally isweird.
Caroline: The best endorsement I can give "World's Finest" is that even though I regularly watch The Flash, I haven't been watching Supergirl, and this episode made me regret it. Benoist is a ray of sunshine, and Calista Flockhart's icy magazine editor manages to cut through Supergirl's softest of soft lenses with her dry disdain.
Also, this crossover episode is incredibly funThe Flash has been losing me lately with overwrought retreads of plots from previous seasons and a heavy dose of brow-knitting melodrama; it was a relief to see Gustin getting to play Barry Allen as the adorable doof he used to be, even if just for a single episode.

Favorite moment from the crossover?

Alex: Tornado/frost breath 2016! It's dopey and silly, but it totally works:
Supergirl. (CBS)
But my favorite moments are actually the quieter ones between Kara and Barry. There's a scene in which she asks for advice and he just tells her to "slow down."
It's a heartwarming exchange, one that gets at the loneliness Kara feels because she hasn't really figured out how to be a superhero. But it also gets at the joy she feels now that she finally has someone to relate to. She and Barry share a disarming amount of chemistry.
upergirl. (CBS)
Caroline: How many of Calista Flockhart's lines can I nominate for "best dialogue of the episode"? Because I'm torn between her saying that Kara, Barry, and company looked like the attractive, multiracial cast of "a CW show" and turning down Bernie Sanders for hot yoga.
In all seriousness, though, watching Barry and Kara race at the very end of the hour was a delight. The rest of the episode was fun and everything, but I could have watched them running and beaming at each other for a full hour and been totally satisfied.
All my favorite moments were between Barry and Kara, thanks to their easy, grinning rapport.
In fact, Gustin and Benoist are so good together that their pairing makes Supergirl's insistence on pushing Kara and James Olsen's romance less believable. Sure, he's strapping, but come on: The Flash is grinning at Kara in a sun-dappled field, all crinkly eyes and dimples, and as far as I can see, her connection with James is a B-minus at best.
Also, in that field scene, Kara is about to throw Barry Allen back into a whole other universe. No one will know if they make out a little first! To paraphrase Cat: Get some, girl.

What do the Flash and Supergirl have in common?

Alex: What both shows do so well is hammer home that their heroes are good people who want to do the right thing and really enjoy doing the right thing. It's earnest and cheesy. But it's also hugely fun.
Caroline: The Flash has become a show I look forward to watching each week, because it embraces the inherent cheesiness of comic books. It lets the Flash zip around Central City to fight the world's corniest villains, and it usually doesn't take itself too seriously (though it's starting to do so in its current seasonwhich is upsetting). Putting the Flash in Supergirl's world — drenched in white light and Technicolor backgrounds — makes perfect sense.

Do we like that Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) knows Kara is Supergirl?

Alex: Cat learned Kara's secret in the fall finaleIt adds a fun dynamic to the show, because we no longer have to suspend our disbelief that people become face blind when you wear glasses. And Cat knowing Kara's secret slyly changes the impact of lines like, "I can spot the extraordinary pretending to be a nobody."
Caroline: I didn't know for sure while watching the episode whether Cat knew Kara's identity — again, I haven't been keeping up with Supergirl — so it was a relief to find out after the fact that she definitely does, and that Kara's the one out of the loop. I know people in comics aren't supposed to see past glasses to the person underneath (nerds, amirite?), but it would just be impossible to believe that Cat wouldn't realize her assistant is the superhero they've been tracking and photographing for months.
And really, what it comes down to is that I, for one, would rather not live in a world where someone who drips disdain for Ramona Singer's fondue etiquette is an idiot.

SET YOU FREE

I am begining to love this song. It was on Track 8 of Body combat 40. Now reused on Body combat 67 track 3

We often fool ourselves
And say that it's love
Only cause when it's gone
We end up being lonely
So how are we to know
That it just isn't so
That we just have to let each other go

There were many times
When we shared precious moments
But later realized
They were only stolen moments

So how are we to know
That it just wasn't so
That we just had to let each other go

CHORUS:
If loving you is all that means to me
When being happy is all I hope you'd be
Then loving you must mean
I really have to set you free

Each day we meet my love for you
Keeps growing stronger
But everytime we meet
Makes leaving you so much harder
So how are we to know
That this just wasn't so
That we just have to let each other go

CHORUS:
If loving you is all that means to me
When being happy is all I hope you'd be
Then loving you must mean
I really have to set you free

BRIDGE:
Letting go is not an easy task
When smiling feels like I must wear this lonely mask
It hurts deep inside
And I just cannot hide

That there's anguish at the thought
That we should have to part

CHORUS:
If loving you is all that means to me
When being happy is all I hope you'd be
Then loving you must mean
I really have to set you free
If loving you is all that means to me
When being happy is all I hope you'd be
Then loving you must mean
I really have to set you free

WONDER WOMAN

Gal Gadot plays the latest wonderwoman and by far my favourite woman thus far.
Themyscira is a hidden island where Amazon women of Greek myth have thrived for centuries, living in harmony and free to self-govern away from the gaze of man. It’s also, of course, the birthplace of Wonder Woman, who after years of false starts, is finally a movie star. With a much heralded introduction in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) is now a cornerstone in Warner Bros.’ DC Comics multiverse, with a crucial role in the first Justice League movie (out November 2017), and the center of her own long-awaited film, which will hit screens next June.
Directed by Patty Jenkins (Monster), Wonder Woman will be an origin story illustrating the transformation of a young Princess Diana into the greatest female warrior of all time.
She will need some help getting there, though. Preparing her for a world of men are three regal women: Diana’s mother, Queen Hippolyta (Gladiator’s Connie Nielsen), and her two military aunts – General Antiope (Robin Wright) and Antiope’s lieutenant, Menalippe (Force Majeure’s Lisa Loven Kongsli). This trio of immortals is responsible for both raising and training Diana — the only child on this estrogen heavy isle — but they don’t always agree. Hippolyta, a revolutionary leader, longs to shelter her beloved daughter from the outside world, but Antiope, the Amazon responsible for Diana’s training, wants to prepare her. “She is the only child they raised together,” says Jenkins, calling from outside London, where she is deep into the film’s production. “And their love for her manifests in a different way for each of them.”

To create Themyscira, Jenkins and her team used exotic islands off the coasts of Italy and southern China to enhance the otherworldliness of scenes filmed on Italy’s Amalfi coast. Still, designing a fantastical place proved challenging. Every decision about it, she says, came back to a central question: “How would I want to live that’s badass?”
Adds producer Charles Roven, “Themyscira is influenced by the Greek but it’s clearly more then that,” he says. “It’s a place that has the ‘you’ve never been to’ kind of feel. But once you’re there you’re not so sure you really want to leave so fast.”
That uniqueness extended to how the Amazons look, too. “To me, they shouldn’t be dressed in armor like men,” Jenkins says of the women’s battle wear. “It should be different. It should be authentic and real – and appealing to women.” Jenkins and her costume designer, Lindy Hemming (The Dark Knight), crafted a look that showed off the women’s ripped shoulders and toned legs, in outfits that looked practical but that still featured the tropes of the comic book, in particular the braces on their wrists and, yes, even the high heels.
Jenkins defends the impractical footwear. “It’s total wish-fulfillment,” she says, adding that the warriors have flats for heavy fighting. “I, as a woman, want Wonder Woman to be hot as hell, fight badass, and look great at the same time – the same way men want Superman to have huge pecs and an impractically big body. That makes them feel like the hero they want to be. And my hero, in my head, has really long legs.”
Wonder Woman is slated to debut on June 23, 2017.

A LOVELY GIFT FROM MY DARLING

As I was about to leave office last evening, the Post Laju man came with a parcel for me. I read the way bill it was from my lovely daughter, snow who is now working in Australia. Wow so many chocolates. All my favourites. Thanks darling. Love you so much dear. Even though we are miles apart, you sill care for your daddy. Due to the hot weather most of it had melted and cause it to be out of shape, but it does not matter. What matter is the love it represent.

SPEAK SOFTLY LOVE

Theme song from the great movie "Godfather"   by Andy Williams
Speak softly love and hold me warm against your heart
I feel your words the tender trembling moment start
We're in a world, our very own
Sharing a love that only few have ever known

Wine colored days warmed by the sun
Deep velvet nights, when we are one

Speak softly love so no one hears us but the sky
The vows of love we make we'll live until we die
My life is yours, and all because
You came into my world with love so softly love

Wine colored days warmed by the sun
Deep velvet nights, when we are one

Speak softly love so no one hears us but the sky
The vows of love we make we'll live until we die
My life is yours, and all because
You came into my world with love
So softly love

WHAT IF......

What if I was not me and you were not you?
What if I have not met you and you have not met me?
What if we have met under different circumstances?
What if I have not said the things I have said
What if you have acted likewise?
What if things had not gone wrong?
What if fate had been kind?
What if there is no hatred between us?
What if we were wiser?

What if …there was no what if????

THE KID FROM THE BIG APPLE

Manage to catch this wonderful show after gym last evening. What a wonderful touching story suitable for family. It has one of my favourite TV star Jessica Hester Hsuan and also Ti Lung(a kung fu star in the 70s) under shaw brothers. Now he is known as Tommy Tam( I had no idea why) I will definately watch it again and even buy the DVD once available.
THE main stars and director of the locally-produced comedy-drama, The Kid from the Big Apple, were in Kuala Lumpur recently to promote the movie.
Malaysia-born director Jess Teong and her leading stars –veteran Hong Kong actor Tommy Tam (better known as Ti Lung), popular Hong Kong actress and TVB star Jessica Hester Hsuan as well as Malaysian child stars Sarah Tan Qin Lin and Jason Tan – attended the gala premiere of the movie on March 3 at GSC Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
They also held a series of meet-and-greet sessions with fans in Ipoh and Penang over that weekend.
For the uninitiated, The Kid from the Big Apple which was shot entirely in Malaysia, has already gained critical acclaim and recognition in a few international film festivals.
At the 7th Macau International Movie Festival (Golden Lotus Award) last December, it nabbed four awards – best writing for Teong who also wrote the script, best actor for Tam, best supporting actress for Hsuan, and best newcomer for child star Sarah.
It was no easy feat, as the competition was tough and included heavy-hitters such as Wilson Yip’sIp Man 3 and Dante Lam’s To the Fore.
Besides the awards and recognition, this made-in-Malaysia production is also the first local movie to collaborate with international fast food chain McDonald’s (whose brand placement is very much evident in the movie).
At a recent press conference, Teong was asked what her thoughts were when coming up with the idea for this heart-warming comedy-drama.
She said: “In Malaysia and Asia, traditions are still very important and are constantly passed down to the next generation.
“But what actually makes traditions special are the people who teach us about them.
“When we reminisce about who taught us these traditions and [what we learnt from] them, it usually [evokes] a sweet … feeling and memory.”
Tam, who is well-known for his many roles in kung fu movies in the 1970s, only had praises for the director.
He said: “Teong took filming the movie very seriously, and was very meticulous even to the most minute detail. She wouldn’t even let a strand of hair be out of place.
“I knew this movie would be something special due to her dedication, and I admired how she did her best to make each scene as well-shot as possible.”
Tam hopes that everyone will watch the movie as it promotes family values and highlights the memorable adage “it doesn’t matter if it’s in the East or West, home is always the best”.
