THIS GIRL HAS TURN TO A WOMAN NOW

Just attended the wedding of two of my hiking friends.  I met both the husband and wife on one of my hikes, though at different intervals. I have always thought they met each other at one of the hikes, until today the wife revealed it was through facebook they first met.  So internet dating still works to some extend. When they posted  their wedding invitation on facebook one of the guest who rsvp attending happen to be someone I knew. I asked how she knew the bride to be. she replied they were colleage once.
What a small world . I  have not seen this girl almost 14 years or so.  I was her outpost commander when she was a kid of 8 or so. Now she has grown up to be a beautiful woman. So we promised to look out for each other at the wedding.  While taking some photos the sight of this beautiful young lady sitting at the pew caught my attention. She was the one I was looking for. We chat for a while after the wedding celemony, exchanged telephone numbers and promised to meet up one of these day.

DONT STOP SAYING THANK YOU.

Have you thank God daily for your blessings?
Have you say thank you to your spouse today?
What about your kids for behaving well today or doing their chore?
Or have we taken these things for granted.

You can always be grateful for what you have rather than complaint on what you lack.

Here's a poem I saw on my colleage's desk which is very meaniful:-

Thank you for the yesterdays,
The Dreams you made come true
Thank you for the special touch
You put in all that you do
Thank you for the promise of love
My whole life through

I AM BEAUTIFUL

How many people will take notice of this simple plant. ?

The flowers are so tiny , they might be insignificant. People will just pass by without even noticing it. I almost cut this plant while tending to my garden which has transformed into a mini jungle after weeks being left unattended.
But on closer look, I found the flowers quite beautiful in it's own way. Like this flower many of us might feel insignificant, unnoticed by our bosses perhaps. Take heart, do not be discourage one day you will be notice and be appreciated .Feel good about yourself and remind yourself you are a potential.
You are beautiful.

Have a nice day.

A Father's Heart

Do you know what it is like to be separate from the one that meant the most to you? She is your pride ,your joy and the reason you work so hard now . How your heart must have been smashed and broken into thousand of pieces.
I think that must have been what my hiking friend had gone through. He has been prevented from seeing their two years old daughter by his estranged wife. The love of the father knows no bound. Many a times he has to spent over Rm250 on toll and petrol , drove for over 3 hours only to be told he cannot see his precious little girl.
What would make a make a man write to his daughter on her ficticious facebook account? .

A father pinning for his little darling.that's what. And what makes a woman to be so vicious to deny a man to see his own flesh and blood? Sure two individual might have fallen out of love , but the poor innocence child should not be make to suffer as a result. She has every right to know her papa and feel his love as well.
My heart cries out to him everytime when I see him writing to his daughter, which in fact he is writing to himself as if to find solace.
I have no words of comfort for him except to encourage him to spur on, and to offer a prayer on his behalf.
So Stay strong my friend and have faith, you will see your little darling soon.

LAUGHTER IS NO LAUGHING MATTER ??

Just for laugh, this is so funny it will be a sin not so share it:-

A woman sat on a plane heading for New York, when the pilot announces that he must make an emergency landing becoz of engine failure. The woman, fearing that this may be the end of her life looks over to a man sitting next to her and rips her shirt and bra off, and throws herself on him. ‘Make me feel like a woman again!’ she screamed. So the man rips his shirt off and hands it to her. ‘Iron this.’ !

Laughter is good according to the article below:-

Someone once told me while I was in the midst of a difficult situation, if there's the slightest chance you might look back on this some day and laugh about it, start laughing now. Granted, this doesn’t always work, but it sure has helped me get through some tough times.

In addition to being a quick perceptual shift, laughter has a lot of benefits. Studies on humor and laughter from Duke University, Loma Linda University, UCLA and others have shown:
Laughing helps relax tense muscles.
It reduces the production of stress hormones.
Laughter and a positive attitude strengthen the immune system.
It allows a person to 'forget' about aches and pains and perceive pain as less intense.
A good laugh is like an aerobic workout for the heart and lungs--increasing the body's ability to use oxygen.
It helps lower high blood pressure.

Kopi O Anyone?

Got this story in my mail today.

By Sylvia Booth Hubbard, Newsmax    refer actual article here.

For many years, coffee was considered a vice, linked with sleepless nights and cigarettes.

But scientists have discovered that coffee contains potent  antioxidants that can fight numerous ailments, including heart disease and  diabetes.According to the American Coffee Association, 54 percent of Americans  drink coffee on a daily basis, and they drink, on average, over three cups each.

The diseases coffee can benefit include:
Dementia. Drinking moderate amounts of coffee during middle age -classified as three to five cups daily - can decrease the  risk of dementia by 65  percent, according to a 2009 study by Swedish and Finnish researchers.

Liver disease.
In those who drink too much alcohol, those who drank the most coffee - more than four cups every day - reduced their risk of developing alcoholic cirrhosis by 80 percent.

Heart disease.
Research associated with The Nurses' Health Study found that women who drank two to three cups of coffee daily had a 25 percent lower risk of dying from heart disease. Along the same line, a Spanish study found that men who drank more than five cups of coffee each day lowered their risk of dying from heart disease by 44 percent, and that women who drank four to five cups each day reduced their risk by 34 percent.

Prostate cancer.
A recent study from  Harvard  Medical  School found that men who drank the most coffee slashed their risk of developing the fastest growing and most difficult to treat prostate  cancers by more than half when compared to men who drank no coffee.

Gout.
Drinking four or more cups of coffee each day dramatically reduces the incidence of gout, say  U.S. and Canadian researchers. Men who drank four to five cups daily lowered their risk by 40 percent, and those who drank six or more cups daily reduced their risk of developing gout by 59 percent when compared to men who didn't drink coffee.

Breast cancer.
Coffee can either reduce the risk of developing breast cancer or delay its onset, according to Swedish studies. They found that coffee alters a woman's metabolism and produces a safer balance of estrogens. Women who drank two to three cups of coffee a day reduced their cancer risk by as much as two-thirds, depending on the specific type of breast cancer.

Diabetes.D
Enjoying six or more cups of coffee daily can cut chances of Type 2 diabetes by 54 percent in men and 30 percent in  women over those who don't drink coffee.

Parkinson's disease.
Several studies show that drinking coffee lowers a man's risk of developing Parkinson's up to 80 percent - and the more the better.

Colon cancer.
A Japanese report found that women who drank three or more cups of coffee every day slashed their risk of developing colon cancer in half.

What's responsible for coffee's healthy benefits? Most researchers believe it's the antioxidants (polyphenols or flavonoids) in coffee, but there are hundreds of compounds in coffee that may be partially responsible.

My thoughts:-
Not sure how true it is. Just something to think about. First they say coffee is bad because of caffeine
now they say it has antioxidants?? I am confuse.

Invited by Whom??

Have you ever get one of those invitation, where you have absolutely no idea who the person who is inviting you. Well I found myself in such a situation today. It was supposely from one of the worker at the factory which is part of our group of company. I am never dealt no seen the person who sent the invitation card through one of my office staff.  Since the wedding was held just nearby where I am staying and it seems no so nice if I dont show up. So I rush back from town around 3.00pm got home  to grab my camera and headed for the place and after going in circle finaly located the bride or bridgegoom(I  still have no idea) As I was already late, the 'bersanding' celemony was already over and both the new couple were having their meal. I make a call to my son to inquire since it was his colleage who sent out the invitation.
He told me to look for a guy call mahat. So I walked up to a guy sitting down to ask "siapa mahat?"(who is mahat?) and what do you know? He turn out to be the guy I was looking for.  I hand over my "angpow" or rather white envelope from the invitation card.  Manage to capture some shots before I sit down to have my lunch. There wasn't much left since I was late, but it has my favourite rendang daging, so I have no complain!

Hey People It's Easter Today

Just attended my first ever  Easter Service away from Home and in the early hour of the morning- 6.30 am!  at the St Andrew presbyterian  church. What a wonderful experience.
Why do Christians celebration Easter or Resurrection day as some churches prefer to call it. You may read more about this celebration here.  and  it's origin here.
If you are interested to read about the account of Jesus' crucification and His resurrection you can follow them in the gospel of Matthew 27:27-28:8
His victory over death and the grave has given new hope to those who believes in Him.
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? [1 Corinthians 15:55]

Happy Resurrection Day Everyone.  or Happy Easter.
