SOMETHING TO PONDER ON.

Received this touching story in the mail, which is something we  need to ponder on.

Do people mistake you for Jesus?

A few years ago a group of salesmen went to a regional sales convention in Chicago . They had assured their wives that they would be home in plenty of time for Friday night's dinner.

In their rush, with tickets and briefcases, one of these salesmen inadvertently kicked over a table which held a display of apples at the airport. Apples flew everywhere. Without stopping or looking back, they all managed to reach the plane in time for their nearly missed boarding.

ALL BUT ONE !!! He paused, took a deep breath, and experienced a twinge of compassion for the girl whose apple stand had been overturned.

He told his buddies to go on without him, waved good-bye, told one of them to call his wife when they arrived at their home destination and explain his taking a later flight. Then he returned to the terminal where the apples were all over the terminal floor.  He was glad he did.

The 16 year old girl was totally blind!
She was softly crying, tears running down her cheeks in frustration, and at the same time helplessly groping for her spilled produce as the crowd swirled about her, no one stopping and no one to care for her plight.

The salesman knelt on the floor with her, gathered up the apples, put them back on the table and helped organize her display.
As he did this, he noticed that many of them had become battered and bruised; these he set aside in another basket.

When he had finished, he pulled out his wallet and said to the girl, 'Here, please take this $40 for the damage we did. Are you okay?'
She nodded through her tears. He continued on with, 'I hope we didn't spoil your day too badly.'

As the salesman started to walk away, the bewildered blind girl called out to him, 'Mister....' He paused and turned to look back into those blind eyes. She continued, 'Are you Jesus?'  He stopped in mid-stride, and he wondered.

Then slowly he made his way to catch the later flight with that question burning and bouncing about in his soul: 'Are you Jesus?' Do people mistake you for Jesus?

That's our Destiny, is it not? To be so much like Jesus that people cannot tell the difference as we live and interact with a world that is blind to His love, life and grace.

If we claim to know Him, we should live, walk and act as He would.

Knowing Him is more than simply quoting Scripture and going to church. It's actually living the Word as life unfolds day to day.

You are the apple of His eye even though we, too, have been bruised by a fall. He stopped what He was doing and picked you and me up on a hill called Calvary and paid in full for our damaged fruit.

Please share this..... Sometimes we just take things for granted, when we really need to be sharing what we know...Thanks

NOWADAYS ..TOO MANY CHRISTIANS ARE NO LONGER FISHERS OF MEN AND WOMEN BUT KEEPERS OF THE AQUARIUM.

Have a Blessed weekend.

Have you said a Prayer today?

Life is full of uncertainy and one should not take things for granted. I posted on my facebook status sometime back,it is so important to covered our loved ones and friends with prayers, as we do not know what will and can happen when they out there, even when travelling to work and back. With crazy drivers on the road , they definately need our prayers.Always covered your loved ones, even your friends with prayer. I wanted to blog about this when  I read of this news report but did not get to it, as I was quite sadened  to know one of the victim was a model I had shot before. Out of  respect ,I will not post her photo here. But she was one of my favourite model, a very friendly and cheerful girl. I am refering to an accident  what happen two weeks ago. see the report here.
Do you say a prayer of thanks to God each day that you are alive?  The fact that we are still breathing is because of  God's grace. It is He who enable us to breathe and it is Him who provide the oxygen, yet we takes this things for granted. Do we only thank Him when we are blessed with Big things.? Big or small , we should always be grateful to God and remember to thank Him. I know we are all human, and  we are forgetful creatures, but when  we do remember, do say aprayer  of thanks to our creator. It does not take much effort to do that.

All just for a simple letter.

Never knew just to get a simple letter can sent one go around on a wild goose chase. Well when you are dealing with government agencies that is quite expected. I accompany my God daugther yesterday first to the klang police station, as she figure it is only logical such letter should be issue locally since she is from klang and since the police department are now on line. She was informed by her agents who is handing her visa that  the letter is to be obtain at the police head quaters at Bukit Aman in Kuala Lumpur. We thought we should try our luck at the nearest Police station first and when we arrived at the Police station, we were directed to the criminal department at another block and when we reached the destinated floor, we were told this function is now handled by the ministry of foreign affairs at Putra Jaya. The police woman there was most helpful and even gave us an address with contact number. I tried calling the number to find out more information, so as to avoid making a futile trip , as it was quite a long drive there. But there was no response.
Half way , may daughter suggested we should make an attempt at the Police Headquaters at Bukit Aman, Kuala Lumpur , just in case we were given the wrong information and if it turn out we can actually obtain the letter at the Police Headquaters. So we headed towards Bukit Aman only to find out it was the back entrance and we were not allow to enter from there. So we had to make our way to the front entrance and it sure does not look easy as it seems at least for a non frequent traveller to Kuala lumpur like myself. After making a couple of wrong turns I decided to seek the help from my trusty Gps and soon we were at the doorsteps of the Police Headquaters and did some enquiries and we were told the same thing as the police station at Klang. Since september 2010 such matters were now under the care of the ministry of foreign affairs. A look at the watch, the time was 12.30 noon and I was hungry as I  had only  a light breakfast in the morning, I wanted to look for something to eat, but my darling girl wanted to get to putra jaya to be in time when the counter reoppen at 2.00pm. After an hour drive we reached our destination, but were not allowed to enter the building until a few minutes before 2.00pm. Got our queue number and even though we manage to obtain the form , but we could not submit it ,as we need to have the declaration signed and endoresed by a magistet or a commisioner of oath. There is a court nearby, but since  my daughter did not have the required documents with her , we have to rushed back home to get it and have it  done at klang. We manage to located a commissionerr of oath just before their closing time. The next day we make our way to Putra Jaya with all the necessary documents .There was not many people when we reached there at around 9.25am and within half an hour and after paying the fee of RM20.00 it was done. It sure will saved us a lot of hassle had we been more informed, instead of misinformed. All the trouble just for a simple letter called " Letter of good conduct," which is one of the requirement for apply a student visa to New zealand. with this documents she can now proceed with her application, and once approved, she will be gone from my sight,  All the best to you my dear and may you find what you seek in your life.
For the benefit of those who might be applying for such a documents, the form can easily be downloaded  at the website here

A Memorable Birthday

Just had a quite birthday celebration with family members. Picked up my son from the Airport last night and  made our way to a restaurant at Teluk Gong, where the other members of the family was waiting for us there.
My facebook account was flooded with wishes from friends, some old ones and some new ones whom I met quite recently. I was rather surprise  some of the boys and girls whom I taught over a decade or so ago still remember me and they still addressed me as their commander, sir and boss.  I am not ashamed to admit it is a good feeling, when people still remember you ,especially on your birthday.   It is occasion like this you know who are your real friends. I guess the others are just acquaintance. Yesterday afternoon I had a pleasant surprise when my personal trainer gave me a 'surprise party" . I can't remember when it was last I had a birthday cake. It tasted so good. The moments I had always enjoyed was dinner with family members and last night was no different. Both my sons and their wives to be , together with my lovely wife and my god daughter we had a good and fun time during dinner time. It is also a time to reflect how blessed I am.and to be thankful to God  for all the blessing he had so richly showered upon me and my family. Thank You Lord.

Photoshooting with Stella Moh

Had another photo shooting last saturday, this time arranged by a photographer friend whom I met in one of the  photo shoots event. It was a small group of 5 friends who shared the same interest. Cost wise it was very much cheaper. I am taking a break from paid shoot for the time being .The next planed event will be towards the end of November, 2010 unless something in between suddenly turns up. We had only one model, which is fine as there is only five of us. The model goes by the name of Stella Elle Moh. She is a colleage student and free lance as a model. Here are some of her  photos in the past event.  Guess who we bump into when we reached our destination at the abandon railway at subang? The event organiser  which I had attended a few photo shoots with. So we went to another deserted area to have our photo shoots in order not to have any confrontation or misunderstanding. Here are some of the shots taken.
