This event was organised by Tacteam Malaysia, a rock climbing group whom I had the pressure to work with at their recent charity event.
We was suppose to meet up at the gombak Lrt station for a briefing at 11.30pm, but as usual people took their own sweet time and the briefing started almost around midnight and we left only around 12.15am. The journey took around 4.30am. The first time I passed by this area was around 30 plus years ago. The road is much better now, with the new highway. We rested awhile for a drink at the R& R area which was just a short distant from the camp site. Did not get much sleep.Got up rather early around 7.00 am after wash up walk around the campsite to survey the place. It was rather run down. Only a few showers were in good condition. Anyway waited for my friends to get ready and we went to town for breakfast before meeting up at the rock area. My first reaction was wow. I touched the rock and after the briefing and group photos I was ready to climb. Besides climbing we had some time to look for the king of fruit and had our fill. Awesome. The price for the fruit was cheaper than those at Kuala Lumpur.
