DON'T JUST SAY IT, DO IT.

My last hike, led me to discover something about the human character. Ever since I saw the photos posted by those hikers who had been to the mysterious hill, I wanted to hike there myself so badly, but I was not sure how to get there and I have been asking around for people to take me there.  Sometimes this year there was another trip to this hill and from the photos posted I recognised one of the hikers who happen to be a friend and so I asked if he could take me there and of course he said it was no problem and all I need to do was to inform him when I will be back in klang and he will be glad to take me there. Well I took his word on this and sent a message to his FB inbox and  then came the reply he could not on that particular day that I which I had indicated as he had plan to go  elsewhere. That was unstandable and I did not felt disappointed one bit. But later he replied saying the trip was cancelled and so he was available. This gave me hope, which turn out to be a false hope which I discovered later on. He said he need to check with his girl friend first which was fine with me, but he never came back after that. While waiting for his response I checked with another friend who had been there just recently and he indicated he could take me there provided he is back before the date. So I gave him an alternate date since the following day was a holiday .Later I saw on fb the one who had earlier agreed to take me to the destination had created another even on that same day that he was suppose to take me to the place where I wanted to go.Anyway to cut the long story short I did went thanks to my second friend. see my earlier post here

Have you ever come across such people?  The first one is just all talk and no action. The second one which not only talk but backed up with action. Now that is a trait of true friendship I would say.
Many a times I too have been approached by people and I normally checked my schedule and before I confirm if I am able to commited. Once I have given my word I never back out. I will make sure I am available.
Moral of the story ? Beware of NATO

  4. Yvonne,
I can understand your frustration.in your case maybe it is good to talk it over and compromise, and come to a win win agreedment. Not healthy for a family where one party have all the say and ignore the other party.
