I don't know how long I will last. Had been very patient and staying calm .But even the toughest can break down once they have been pushed to the breaking point. How do you deal with a boss who is constantly hagging you and keep repeating himself almost every minute. He seems to treat everyone like a kid and keep reminding people to do their job. I had served under five General Managers in the past but none are like the one I am facing now. What rotten luck I have. I know I will go mad if I stay here longer than I should. It's time to go job hunting ,even if it pay lesser than what I am getting now. So long as I can stay sane. I mean what good is money if you loose your mind right?
Just recollection of my thoughts...nothing serious. Thinking allowed(aloud) Ranting or emo if you must

OF THREATS AND GIMMICKS
Yesterday morning, I got a long sms message from one of my staff. She was not too happy with the proposed increment, and she goes on to listed down the things she did for the company and even claim credit for the recent ISO certfication. I thought it was a team effort?? Some people really let things get into their head! she also like to compare to another staff who will be getting the same amount and in terms of per centage, she is getting lesser as she claimed. Anyway in her sms message ,which I understand was also copied to the top management. she says she is not threathening nor blackmailing and this time it is for real(as with the previous couple of time) I just dont understand it, if she is serious about it why not just do it right?? I get the feeling this girl think too highly of herself.By the way she cries alot too.(to gain sympathy I suppose)
Do you have such character in your office too? How do you deal with it? I would rather let her go then to let her create problem and chaos in the office. Sure it will be tough for a while before a replacement is found. I think no one is dispensable.

Child like Faith
This is the kind of Faith we all need! This is an interesting and encouraging article sent my by friend Jane.
A pastor had been on a long flight between church conferences.
The first warning of the approaching problems came when the sign on the airplane flashed on:
Fasten Your Seat Belts!
After a while, a calm voice said, "We will not be serving beverages at this time
as we are expecting some turbulence. Please remain seated and be sure your seat belt is fastened."
As the pastor looked around the aircraft, it became obvious that many
of the passengers were becoming apprehensive. Then, the voice on the intercom said,
"We are very sorry that we are unable to serve your meals at this time.
The turbulence is still ahead of us."
And then the storm broke.
Ominous cracks of thunder could be heard even above the roar of the engines.
Lightning lit up the darkening skies and within moments that great airplane
was like a cork being tossed around on a celestial ocean. One moment the airplane
was lifted upward on terrific currents of air; the next, it dropped like a rock,
as though it were about to crash.
The pastor confessed that he shared the discomfort and fear of those around him.
He said, "As I looked around the plane, I could see that nearly all the passengers
were upset and alarmed. Some were praying. The future seemed ominous and
many were wondering if they would make it through the storm.
"Then suddenly, I noticed a little girl. Apparently the storm meant nothing to her at all.
She had tucked her feet beneath her as she sat on her seat, calmly
reading her book. Everything within her small world was calm and orderly.
"Sometimes she closed her eyes, then she would read again;
then she would stretch and straighten her legs, but worry and fear were not in her world.
When the plane was being buffeted by the terrible storm, as it lurched this
way and that, as it rose and fell with frightening severity, when all the adults
were scared half to death, that marvelous child was completely composed and unafraid."
The pastor could hardly believe his eyes at her incredible calmness.
It was not surprising therefore, that when the plane finally reached its
destination and all the passengers were hurrying to disembark, our pastor
lingered to speak to the girl whom he had watched for such a long time.
Having commented about the storm and the behavior of the plane,
he asked why she had not been afraid. The child replied,
"Cause my Daddy's the pilot, and he's taking me home."
There are many kinds of storms that buffet us. Physical, mental, financial,
domestic and many other storms that can easily and quickly darken our skies
and throw our plane into severe turbulence. We have all known such times.
So let us be honest and admit that it is much easier to be at rest when our feet are
on the ground than when we are being tossed about in a darkened, turbulent sky.
Let us remember too: Our Father is the Pilot.
