I am thankful for the love of my life, my wife of over 28 years plus. Come November, will be our 29th Anniversary. Sure we had our ups and down, but we had learnt over the years to work things out. So if you believe there is something worthwhile and precious work on it and don't give up. Have a good day and enjoy this Bee Gees song entitled Emotion sang by samantha.
Just recollection of my thoughts...nothing serious. Thinking allowed(aloud) Ranting or emo if you must

Emotion
Emotion is the complex psychophysiological experience of an individual's state of mind as interacting with biochemical and environmental influences. In humans, emotion fundamentally involves "physiological arousal, expressive behaviors, and conscious experience".[1] Emotion is associated with mood, temperament, personality and disposition, and motivation. The English word 'emotion' is derived from the French word émouvoir. This is based on the Latin emovere, where e- (variant of ex-) means 'out' and movere means 'move'.[2] The related term "motivation" is also derived from the wordmovere. That is how wikipedia describe it. Read the rest of the description here No one is spare from this and usually they cannnot hide it. So is there any surprise even the celebrity and stars do filled with emotion.Maybe some of them does a good job in hiding them and the public has no idea what is going on.. However I notice in our local scene, people do express it out when ever they are down, .Whether they are just common people or someone famous, they just want let the whole world knows it. After all they are just human.Maybe letting it out is a way of releasing that tention or to get attention. Usually their problem has got to do with love. Ah.. Cupid spares no one not even the rich and famous. One would think so what if you fail in your love , just get over it and find someone new. I guess we can never understand unless we are in their shoes. I suppose they are very serious and faithfull in their love, That is why they are so frustrated when it appear their loves is failing or someone is about to walk out of their lives. By the way guys are equally emotion, though for various reason, not necessary love. What do you think?

Why Do People Swear & Curse?
It is not uncommon these days to find young people using the four letter words .I noticed this on Facebook most of the time. They use the words as if it the norm and punctuate every sentences with it. What I can't understand is why do they do it? Is it due to peer pressure or just to gain acceptance? Lately I noticed some models even use those words as well, and on facebook too.? Don't they care for their reputation at all? I know they are upset, but surely there are nicer ways to saying it, without using those words. If guys use them I can understand ,but for girls to use them I still can't get use to it.In fact I get very uncomfortable whenever I hear them. There was this girl I know and I saw both her kid sisters using them. I wanted to be a busy body and asked her why she did nothing to stop them and before I knew it she herself was doing it.
I am not saying it is alright for guys to use it, but rather surprise to find girls using them as well. There is quite an interesting article on swearing here. and another one here.

Bimba & Lola
I got an invitation from the photographer whom I had done a couple of shooting with. This time it is an indoor shoot for some launching of products at Pavilion, a shopping mall at Kuala Lumpur. After some problem locating the place I finally reached there half an hour earlier, but finding the boutique Bimba & Lola took quite a while as it was my first visiti to Pavilion since it's opening. Shooting in door was a totally new experience for me. I am not accustom shooting in such an environment before and had to learnt as I shoot. As this was a privite event , only invited guest was allowed into the shop. My friend had earlier informed me together with nine other photographers he will be able to get us in, but when we got there we had to wait outside the shop . I did not bother to ask him, what when wrong. Anyway I started to shoot just about anything that moves. I was told a lot of celebrities will make their appearance there, but I hardly recognised anyone save for Amber Chia. After an hour and the half of shooting, it was all over. Here are some of my works, not exactly perfect, compare to my outdoors shoot, which I am more familiar.

What A Frightful Experience.
Last Sunday afternoon saw me again at the Damai Wira Wall which is near Batu Caves .I was there last march for the rock climbing. Even though I did fairly well compare to my first attempt in march, but I still gets butterflies in my stomach. I think I still could not overcome my fear of height. A day before this outdoor climb I was at the indoor rock climbing gym to undergo my basic wall climbing course. I learnt about the various gears and equipment used for rock climbing as well as the safety requirement for this sport. After a four hours theory and pratice I received my certificate and thus now I am qualify to belay another person who is climbing. I have no problem trusting my friends who belay me when I was at the indoor walls, but I just could not bring myself to trust a machine at the auto belay section and a lot of people tried to convince me it was safe and asked me just to let go of the rope and kick away from the wall and let the auto belay system bring me down. It took quite a while and after I climb a couple of feet down before I took the plunge down.. What do you know it hold. On my second attempt during the basic wall climbing I had to use the machine again and I had no choice but to have another go at it , but this time I was more confidence than the first time.
on my outdoor climb, I did manage to climb to walls, but the third wall I fail to reached the top , I was just a few feet away from reaching the top and I was grip with fear and my arms was feeling weak and I deceided to give up and request my belayer to lowered me down. Maybe I am just not cut for this kind of sport.
I can never understand why I do this? Was it because of the thrill or was it because of the company of friends?
I can still manage the indoor climbing, but the outdoor rock climbing is not going to be easy to get use to.
Will I do it again? I rather not think about it until the time comes.
For those who might be interested to pick up this sport here is a useful link on rock climbing technique.

Old songs and songs I never heard of .(.until now.)
These days I even surprise myself and have done things, I have never done before and last evening was no different. As usual, whenever it is a new place,I end up going in circles before was able to reach my destination. Finally after nearly 45 minutes was at 'No Black Tie" , and together with a friend who arrived just in time for a down memory lane(well some of the songs I had heard when I was young) The songs were performed by Michelle Quah supported by Daniel Yap.
My favourite songs were "I could have danced all night", "anything you can do, I can do better" and "Anthem" would you believe it this is the first time I have heard of this song"Anthem" which is from the movie chess.I thought it was nicely rendered by Daniel Yap. He had a wonderful voice. In fact Michelle is also wonderful and could carry very high note.

I Almost Did Not Make It!
Oh what a day, never thought it could happen to me, but it did. I was looking forward to the photoshoot at Bukit Tinggi, Bentong. The Model was Jenny Foh,. It will be my second shooting session with her. Since my eldest son was back for his holiday,he volunteer to drive me there. We got up at 4.30am to get ready and by 5.00am we left our home as I estimate the journey will take us 2 1/2 to 3 hours. I was to meet the organiser and the rest of the photographers at the Gombak toll at 8.00am .I had never been there before and most of the people I spoke to told me that is the time it will take to reach there. With the address key into my Gps , we were on our way, when all of a sudden, the Gps hang. I tried to switch off and on again, but still could not get it to function. After a few attempt I had no choice but to switch to another software. I was using Papapo ,after trying Mapking, which I found not reliable, I attempt to use Garmin and it was working fine until it took us to the Bukit Tinggi villiage instead of the Japanese Garden.where the photoshoot was to take place. We stop by some shop and asked for direction and based of the information gathered .make our way to our destination and after driving for a while we sensed that it was not the right direction and so stoped by a Petrol station to make some enquiry and sure enough we had over shot. So it was back on the highway again and trying to make it to the meeting place. As time was ticking away. Finally we reached the Gombak toll. I called the organiser to find out if they had arrived, to which he responsed afirmatively. To my horor I discovered we were on the wrong side of the road. We were heading towards Kuala Lumpur when it should have been to Genting . Don't asked me how it happen, but it did and all because we were so confident of the Gps. So we make a quick detour , one thing about the highway, you have to drive quite a distance before you could make a u-turn. and we drove at a safe speed of course and try to catch up ,but they have already left since it was already past the time set for the meet up. We had no choice but to go on our own and now totally relied on the Gps and while trying to rush and also the instruction given by the gps (garmin instead of papago)
was not clear or make sense,we override it and try to make our own judgement and by so doing we overshot again and so we had to make another u turn and it was back to the toll , and back again towards genting and
by this time I lost my head and started blaming my son, though it was no fault of his. To show my displeasure I even told him , forget about it let's head for home and with that I shut down the gps. However my son was so nice and told me he wanted to try again , knowing full well how I wanted to be there so badly .So I told him to go ahead and this time we follow the sign that says bejaya ,and what a relief when we saw the signboard that shows japanese garden and we knew we were now on the right track. We make it half an hour past nine. The photo shooting session was already in progress. This was the first time I was late for such an event and also a first time , it took three atempt to reach a destination.
Anway I am glad my son took the intiative to drive me there and did not give up on me, otherwise I would not be able to share some of the photos here.

Are you a Team Player?
When I planned for a hike to Tabur East today, it was supposed to be among a few closed friends, but since everyone was either away on Hari Raya Holiday or had some other plan, I extended the invitation to another friend, who asked if it was alright for her to extend the invitation to those in her circle of friends. I informed her I had no objection and so she put up an event on facebook and very soon I got quite and number of people expressing their interest to join me on my hike to Tubur east. You might be wondering why do I keep going back to Tabur.Well since I got news on the government's plan to built a highway at tabur and see my post here.
I thought I should go at every opportunity just in case I will not get the chance to hike at this wonderful hill anymore if the government pushed their plan through. I got up early this morning at 4.30 am as I had to pick up a few friends at different route in Klang and one more at Damansara as he does not know how to get to Taman Melawati, where the hill is located. As I made my way to our destination it started to rain very heavily, I said a silent prayer as I did not wished this event to be cancelled. Meanwhile I received a couple of sms messages as well as calls, asking if the event will be cancelled since it was raining. Well, as an organiser I just cannnot cancel the event, as I had to be fair to those people who had confirm and might be on the way to our meeting point. We had all agreed to meet at the Deen's Nasi Kandar Restaurant , near taman melawati at 6.30am and so I told the caller to be there and we will make a decision later on. Sad to say some of them decided to opted out. When we arrived at the meet up point, it was not raining so heavily anymore, just drizzling. I said a silent prayer to God for answering my prayer. It was a wonderful sight to see a few commited hikers had arrived as well. On the eve of the event , there were indication of about twenty hikers, and now the final count was fifteen. These are the faithful ones who braved the rain to support the event. We adjourned to Mcdonalds to have our breakfast as the Restaurant at our meeting point was not opened due to the Hari Raya Holiday. After we had our breakfast we headed for the hills and took a final head counts and gave out some simple rules for the sake of safety. I suggested a friend who had been to this hill a number of times to be the "sweeper" and his role was to ensure no one is left behind or swayed away from the group. As their team leader I also informed them they were to look out for one another. Unfortunately as I found out some of them had a mind of their own and went out of the group and on their own even ahead of me. The sweeper did a good job and even help one of the newbies to while she hike up and later down hill. As for those who choose not to take even simple instruction , all I can say if you can take simple instruction then you are not a team player.

Save the Klang Gates Quartz Ridge
I was quite alarm when I saw this on facebook. I had heard earlier from someone on the proposed KL Outer Ring Road (KLORR)and when I saw the pettion here that I realise this is gonna happen unless something is done quick. The highway will cut across the Klang Gates Quartz Ridge and through the Selangor State Park. When that happen we can kissed goodbye to mother nature and clean water. Please help spread the word and support by signing the pettion here. For more facts and information about this wonderful hill check it here.
All these will be gone if we do nothing. Please act now, before it is too late.

In door Rock Climbing
My first experience on rock climbing was in march when I tried the outdoor rock climbing organised by the
green trekkerz. Photos have been posted here..Yesterday I went for the indoor rock climbing organised by the budget travellers.at camp 5. which is located at 1 Utama mall in Petaling Jaya.Housed in a 20 meter high air-conditioned glass tower, Camp5, as state o-of-the-art climbling facility, offers KL residents, travellers, schools, clubs, corporate groups, birthday parties, weekend adventurers and seasoned ascentionist the Great Indoors Experience.
Seeing others doing it seems easy, as they have no problem climbing up at all, even some kids could do it,so it should be no problem right? well that was what I thought, until I tried it myself. Boy it was no easy task, especially if one have to climb using the selected 'rock' colour. My first attempt was on a shorter wall and mixed colour rock. The second one I deceided on one particular colour and higher wall. It was not easy, after a few failed attempted, I rested to regain back my strenght and this time I finally make it to the top.

Another Hill, Another New Expereience
My Friend Janine comment this on my facebook photo album. "The 380 degree view is worth the climb" She is absolutely right. This is my first time ever at Gunung Datuk, located at Rembau, Negeri Sembilan. The trail, reminds me of Gunung Apek in Cheras, which is 3 times the distance. and a little bit like nuang in certain areas.
I happen to chance on an event on facebook and deceided to join the group and invited one of my hiker friend and she agreeded and we were all set to go come merdeka day. But on the eve of the event she told me she could not make it due to some personal matters. Well, since I had already commited myself and I am not one that likes to FFK. I left klang around 8.00am after having my breakfast. and since I had never been there before I had to rely totally on my GPS .I had obtained the coordination from my good hiker friend Alvin Chang.(Thanks Alvin) and was on my way when I received a call from a another friend John O. I had asked him to join me, but he was non commited as he was not sure if he could get up on time. So it was a surprised when he told me he was already having breakfast at one of the rest area near the road leading to the KLIA(kuala Lumpur interanational airport) I called up the organiser informing I am almost at the meet up point after the Pedas toll booth. Since I was early I gave my friend John a call to check his location, surprisely I was ahead of him even though he had a head start. Since there was no sign of the organiser and since my friend knows the way to the location, he asked if I like to follow him instead. Sound like a good idea. No point waiting further as it was rather late already and so out of courtesy I informed the organiser I will be making my way there on my own. When we reached there it was almost 9.30am or so. There were some first timer ,who came with my friend and as they need time to catch up and also they wanted to take photos on the way up, I was requested to proceed on my own while my friend will accompany his friends. As we had started our journey late and knowing the mid day sun will be most unkind at that hour, I did not hestitate even though it was my first time at this hill. After a hour and a half it seems like eternity, and so I make some enquiry from people who were making their way down how far more to the peak. One person told me another 25 mins more and so I continue and at the same time take note of the time and found that I had still not reach the peak, then I asked another person and this time I was told another 15 minutes more and still I had not reach after the time was up. Either they were just trying to encourge me to spur on or they are simply lousy at making estimation. When I finally reached the peak, it was a wonderful experience. The view was just breath taking.Every hill has it's own characteritic and every hill is different from the other. If you have never been here you are missing something wonderful. I am just amazed at the wonderful creation of God. Thoroughly enjoyed the view before having to go downhill ,which was another challenged.
