Excuses or just being Lame??

Finally after months of preparation and waiting for the day to arrive, I am quite relieve it is over. I am talking about the wedding preparation and the dinner of my eldest son.  Never reliase there is so much preparation to be done and we would not be able to do it without the help of so many kind souls do assist us. Thank God, it did not put a big dent in our pockets as well. It was a good dinner and it went quite smoothly and I am so grateful for friends and relatives who had taken time off to attend the dinner.  Now I had time to reflect and think  what had transpire over the last few days. Perhaps it is time to evaluated some of the friendship. Despite invitation and enough notices were sent out very much earlier than the dinner date, not many bother about the rsvp part and some of the excuses I got for both the bachelor nite and the wedding dinner were not too convincing.
one response I got was I do not know your son. Since when do we need to know the couple when attending such function.As if knowing the person who invited you is not good enough reason??
Another one only told me he has to be at another friend's pre wedding shoot when I call to ask. what happen if I dont call at all , I will never know.Some were not feeling well. A courtesy call would have been appreciated. Another one was due to a flight delays and could not come back.A valid reason,but if proper planing this could have been avoided. I am not passing judgement just to express my disappointment. I remember when ever I had an appointement or invitation, I will ensure I do not enggage in other activities and if I do have on the same date or on the eve, I will ensure the activity will not tired me  lest I will not be able to make it on the day of the function. Also I will ensure it will be nearby so that I could not be delayed. However I am also happy to note some of my friends and that of my wife's took the trouble to attend the dinner even though they lived in far away(some from another country). One of my friend flew back from singapore after celebrating his mothers birthday in singapore. He left his wife in singapore to accompany the mother. such thoughtful persons.It is occasion like this we know who really value our friendship and who doe not.

My Last Photo shoot(for now)

Today, I had my last photoshoot. This is the first time I am shooting Apple Tan, a student model.  After months of  correspondeing with her , the event finally came to past.  Since I will be moving to Kulai, Johore to start  work, I will be leaving most of my favourite things behind: hiking, and photography included.Maybe I should start networking with people staying around  Johore. Emm that's a thought.  Anyway here are some of the photos taken this morning.

May Tan at a Fishing Village

Just returned from a sucessful photo shooting session today. This is the first time I am shooting May Tan , a student Model. This is also the first time I am organising a shooting event and could be one of the final one I will be arranging for the time being.The next one will be next sunday, and I hope I can make it as I do not want to spoilt my reputation. The reason I am not so cetain if I could make it is because I will be moving to Kulai on tuesday to start my work again.(after many months of being jobless) It is rather a urgent job and I had to be there for the hand over of duties by the staff who will be leaving.  I am thrilled to be able to work again and at the same time, am sad by the distance as I will be away from my family and also I will have to give up most if not all of my activities.:- my gym, hiking, photoshooting. Well this is some of the sacrifice one has to make in order to earn a living I suppose and under the circumstances I don't really have a choice.

Have you ever been so sick?

Yesterday was a day ,never like any other day. It was early in the morning after I went to the toilet and when I came back, laid my head on the pillow I felt the whole room  spining and I felt nausea after that. went to the toilet and threw out, then sat on the "throne" , which I thought will help. It works in the past whenever I had food poisoning. Of course at that moment I did not know it was food poisoning as I never had such experience before. I kept on vomitting , and could not sleep, and I dared not lie down as  it will cause my head to spin. Finally morning came, my contition did not improved. My wife gave me some medicine which she got from the clinic, but each time I took something including bread and drinks, I threw up. In the meantime my wife was so anxious to admit me to a hospital as she did not know what else  to do. She started to look for my medical card, only to find out the insurance guy did not renew it!(this is another issue which she will take up with that guy) Anyway my son came back around noon time and took me to a nearby clinic, though I could hardly walk. A jab from the docter who diagnose me and confirm it was food poisoning ,a bad case at that.  I am now gaining back my strenght and hope to be up and about again. Thank God for his Grace and sustaining power and also to my wonderful wife and son who took care of me when I was so helpless.

WHICH HILLS?

There are so many hills in malaysia which I have yet to explore. Last week I was at Datuk,which is in Rembau, Negeri sembilan. Tomorow I will try out Mount Angsi, also in Negeri sembilan. Then the day after that it will be at Tokwan, which is after the 4th peak of Broga. unfortunately there is no other way yet and we have to climb broga before we can get to Tokwan.  After this I will return to my favourite hills Tabur which is in Taman melawati. With so many hills and some which I  have yet conquered, how to remember the route?  I found this site very useful as it has all the Gps coordination, which is just the thing I need.

Preparations For Gunung Angsi, Via Shortcut

Location : Negeri Sembilan

GPS Coordinates : N2 43.644 E102 03.376

Directions :

Exit at Senawang on NSE and continue onto Senawang, J
Turn right onto Hwy 51	7.5km
Continue on Hwy 51	8.0km

The coordinates given are pretty much the exact location of where the trail starts. Should you not have a GPS unit, if you are coming from Senawang, continue until you see a large signboard that says “Selamat Datang Ke Kuala Pilah”. Make a u-turn and continue until you see the green colour signboard in the photo below.

The entrance is about 20 metres before that signboard, hidden behind the tree trunk of the 5th tree before that signboard.
