TITI ECO FARM

After months of planing and liasing with the Eco farm the day finally came. We left klang around noon, Being too dependant on waze, which took us to KL town before going back to the Seremban highway again. Stop over at a nearby town enroute to have our lunch .We were suppose to check in at 3.00pm but arrived half an hour later. Another couple who left earlier in the morning but was on food hunt arrive an hour later. Anyway we had a good fellowship and wonderful sharing and  got to know each other better. It was so refreshing to get away from the busy city life and work and just enjoy nature. Our trip was a  2 Days 1 Night stay at the  Wood Lodge - RM230 per pax (Adult) A good value for money. Will definately come back again.

WHAT IRRESPONSIBLE ACT THIS IS

I was alert by a hiker friend who hike at Tabur regulary as she stays only  stone throw away from the beautiful hills.  I am sadden by this irresponsible act and vandalism.  I am totally against any kind of 

gratiffi and certainly not on our wonderful and beautiful heritage. Why can't they admire nature and leave it intact.?  I always encourage my hikers buddies to follow the hiker's creed which is:-

TAKE ONLY PICTURES,
LEAVE ONLY FOOTPRINTS
KILL ONLY TIME.
I suspect these are not nature lovers or hikers, they are just tourist, who come and go. They are the likes of those who saw it no wrong to throw rubbish out of their cars while driving. I wish there are laws to percecute such wrong doers.

LOTUS EVERYWHERE.

Have heard from my friend who found this place by the road side in Kulai where there are so many varieties of Lotus. I am staying in Kulai for almost a year now , but did not even know such place exist. It took some one from Ulu Tiram to tell me that. Actually he told me prior to staying at Ulu Tiram he used to lived in Kulai for more than 20 years. No wonder he knows all the back lane and all the nice places where they served good food. Anyway I finally got to explored this place this morning, since I was free. I did not have any hiking activities and also it was my off day. Six days shall you work, but on the seventh day you are to rest so says the Lord. Here are some of the shots of these beautiful flowers. Hope you will like them.

Another Hill, Another New Expereience

My Friend Janine comment this on my facebook photo album. "The 380 degree view is worth the climb" She is absolutely right. This is my first time ever at Gunung Datuk, located at Rembau, Negeri Sembilan. The trail, reminds me of Gunung Apek in Cheras, which is 3 times the  distance. and a little bit like nuang in certain areas.
I happen to chance on an event on facebook and deceided to join the group and invited one of my hiker friend and she agreeded and we were all set to go come merdeka day. But on the eve of the event she told me she could not make it due to some personal matters. Well, since I had already commited myself and I am not one that likes to FFK.  I left klang around 8.00am after having my breakfast. and since I had never been there before I had to rely totally on my GPS  .I had obtained the coordination from my good hiker friend Alvin Chang.(Thanks Alvin) and was on my way when I received a call from a another friend John O. I had asked him to join me, but he was non commited as he was not sure if he could get up on time. So it was a surprised when he told me he was already having breakfast at one of the rest area near the road leading to the KLIA(kuala Lumpur interanational airport)  I called up the organiser informing I am almost at the meet up point after the Pedas toll booth. Since  I was early I gave my friend John a call to check his location, surprisely I was ahead of him even though he had a head start. Since there was no sign of the organiser and since my friend knows the way to the location, he asked if I like to follow him instead. Sound like a good idea. No point waiting further as it was rather late already and so out of courtesy I informed the organiser I will be making my way there on my own. When we reached there it was almost 9.30am or so. There were some first timer ,who came with my friend and as they need time to catch up and also they wanted to take photos on the way up, I was requested to proceed  on my own while my friend will accompany his friends.As we had started our journey late and knowing the mid day sun will be most unkind at that hour, I did not hestitate even though it was my first time at this hill.After a hour and a half it seems like eternity, and so I make some enquiry from people who were making their way down  how far more to the peak. One person told me  another 25 mins more  and so I continue and at the same time take note of the time and found that I had still not reach the peak, then I asked another person and this time I was told another 15 minutes more and still I had not reach after the time was up. Either they were just trying to encourge me to spur on or they are simply lousy at making estimation. When I finally reached the peak, it was a wonderful experience. The view was  just breath taking.Every hill has it's own characteritic and every hill is different from the other.If you have never been here you are missing something wonderful. I am just amazed at the wonderful creation of God. Thoroughly enjoyed the view before having to go downhill ,which was another challenged.
