BECAUSE YOU ASKED..

Got a private message in my inbox on facebook yesterday from someone I knew a few years ago.She need my phone contact because she has something urgent to discuss with me. As soon as I gave her my number, my phone rang. It was her alright. Apparently she need a favour, she wants me to remove some of the old photos which I had taken of her from my blog. Since she her reasons was valid and legitimate I had to obliged her. She told me she is now in the film industry.Wow, that is good for her and I wished her every success. Some of the photos does not make her look good. You know image is important to a up and coming star. I spend sometime looking through some of my old blogs to removed those photos requested. It was not easy looking though the archive and our internet connection is not making it any easier. I deleted one blog site as it was already "dead". Better to have one which I can post regularly than maintaining so many right? Now I have one password lesser to remember.
Never knew my friend had  rose to a star so quickly. I was aware she did some commercial, but now a movie? It's so hard to believe. I can't wait to catch her movie soon.
All the best to you my friend and hope to catch up with you sometime to have a cup of tea. Oh yes, you owe me one autograph.

MY LABOUR DAY GET AWAY

I laboured on labour day. Yes it's  suppose to be worker's day and all  workers laid aside their busy schedule and take a day of.  As for my son and I we were busy taking photos of 3 sexy ladies at the
Pulai Spring resort, Johor. Hey, it's still hard work ok? It was hot outside and we were sweating, not because of the hot girls, but the weather la.  The event was organised by LS shooting, based in Johor. I was invited by one of the model, whom I had shot earlier and she was also part of this event as well. This is the first time I had attended a full day shoot with 3 models and was suprise they even include lunch. So it was value for $$$ .  Anyway  enjoy the fruit of my 'labour'

At the Park with a beautiful lass

This is my first time shooting this sweet innocence looking girl. In most event that I had attended the photographers have to get the model to relax before the shoot and even telling them how to pose. But it is the reverse with this girl,(at least to my observation) With her fun and sometimes michievous ways during the shoot, she was able to put us at ease.It was so fun shooting this model and I do not mind shooting her again. Another observation I noted she was very conscious of the photographers' presence and will turn towards the direction of the camera even without our prompting. Geneve Tan is her name. She is a full time manager at a company in Setia Alam, but does free lance modelling whenever she has the time.

WHAT A STRANGE REQUEST.

Honestly I just can't find any thing wrong with these photos.
this one maybe?

But these two definately ok what.

But my darling daugther sent me a message asking me to take it off from facebook. Of course I do get such request from female friends who are somewhat sensitive saying, they look  fat on that particular photo or not their best side of the face etc. As a proud dad I want to display and show off my daughter, but unfortunately she don't share the same enthusiasm  as me. Any of you girls feel or react this way too? Strange guys have no such problem.

KEEPING MY WORD

When we speak do we meant what we say? I am now very cautious what I say or write even on someone's fb wall these days. This is because people will take your word for it for what ever you say, more so if it is a promise, especially if made to children. Of course sometimes we say things without thinking of the implication or consequences. Let me relate a true story(one which I am not proud of)
Many years ago, and I can't even recall what was the occasion or when but it was about the KL tower which my children have been pestering me to take them there.
So I said something like ok daddy will take you there one day. Soon I forgoten all about it, but it remain with my children. So whenever I said something like this again they will checkmated me and said Daddy your one day never come one la. And they reminded me the subject of their missed trip to the KL tower. I have erred since and now learnt not to say things I might regret later on. So if I know I can't do a certain thing, I prefer not to comment or kept quite, but if I was very confident I will be able to fufill  it I will let them know but with an open date and I will make sure I get back to them.
Today's event is one example. I remember this girl whom I had done a photo shoot before wrote to me asking if I could do another shoot for her to make her look good, as she seems to like my photos.(I am flatted, but honestly I don't think much about me so call skill) I told her I will try but will not be able to confirm a date as I was busy with my work, but I will let her know once I have the time. I only goes back home once or twice a month and that usually coincide with my hiking programe or a friend's wedding. It so happen there was a public holiday on the same week of my planned trip back home. I quickly informed her and make some arrangement  with some of my phtographers friends to join in. Different photographers have different styles. This will give her more selections to choose from. She also brought along another  friend. Wow we got two models to shoot. Never had so much fun shooting the girls. So Mei Yan, here are the photos as uncle promised. Hope you like them. Sure feel good to be able to keep my promise.

Photoshooting at Paddy field.

Last sunday I joined a group for a trip to sinkinchan  for a photoshoot. This time there were three models, instead of the normal two. Since I had never been to that part before I left klang earlier. It was almost two hours before I reached the destination. I had no trouble finding the place thanks to my trusted Gps. I have been  totally dependable on my Gps whenever I go to a new place. I got there a few minutes later than the agreed time, called up the organiser who was caught in a jam and therefore will be a couple of minutes late as well. Sinkinchan is a small town just after Tanjung karang, in Kuala Selangor.  There are many paddy fields and this was the setting for our photoshoots.  This is my second time I am  joining a group for a photoshooting session. I have learnt quite a bit from my earlier session, and this  trip I picked up some pointers too. Hopefully I can learnt more when I attend the photography workshop at the end of the month at the olympus headquaters.
Here are some of  the shots from the trip.

PHOTOSHOOT WITH TWO BEAUTIFUL MODELS

This is the first time I have paid to take part in a photo shooting session. It was scheduled at 9.00am this morning and we were to meet up at the BHP petrol station by 8.45am before proceeding to the location for shooting. As usual there will be late comers as this has been a bad habit of malaysian. They are never on time. By 9.00 the  organiser  led us to the location which was just near by the petrol station. One guy did not turn up at the meeting point and so we left without him. The weather was fine today, not too hot. We did some shooting at the abandon railway  station . Here are some of the pictures , fruits of my labour. Still rooms for improvement no doubts. I am thinking of attending a photography workshop.
