How well can we really know another person

An interesting read.

Have you ever been told: “I just don’t know who you are anymore” by someone you care about?
Doubtless, you’ve heard it on TV, or read it in a book.
Then, spare a thought for the two women who are currently suing their former partners – undercover police officers – for emotional trauma, after learning that the men weren’t exactly who they thought they were. At all.

LIFE IS A ROLLER COASTER

Part of Ronan Keating's song goes like this:-

We found love so don't fight it
Life is a rollercoaster just gotta ride it
I need you so stop hiding
Our love is a mystery girl, let's get inside it

WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS MY FRIEND?

This is a sad tale about a friend of mine. He has just retired not too long ago and have the only child, a young man who is already working. Well actually he is an adopted son. He just adore this boy, and seems to get him almost everything, the moon if possible and if he has the means to do it.
I learnt he has spent almost 20k on this son from Lap top to the latest handphone. He even sponsor his holidays but deprive himself of such luxury. That is not all he even gave him a supplementary credit card to him. Oh goodness that is a big mistake. He will go on a shoping spree I told him. He said no lah, he always call whenever he wants to use them and promise to payback. I asked him , so far has he been reimbursed? Silent. Why are there such people who spent on an old man's hard earn cash.? And why is there such silly man who gives in? If he does not take control and put an end to all this very soon his saving from his EPF will be gone in no time.  When you loved someone  does not means you have to give them everything.  I wonder would we have handle it any different if we are in his shoes?
